womb of time WoT 2001-2003
After ten years of Art practicing, I had balanced between the material and the non material world, visualizing these opposites as two-in-ones, like packages and contents.
I had loved the making of Art, but I had lost its message, therefore I felt the need to free myself from materials. What was left was waiting for a new direction, I prefered to be in the 'Womb of Time' instead of the 'World of Art'
'Womb of Time' was a period of very little Art production and it has not resulted in a theme exhibition as such. It was meant to be a project for making books, scrap-books. It has been a time of introspection, it gave me the opportunity (to flee into the air, to explore the net and work for the mutual benifit of Art, learning from other artists, keeping in touch with Africa, building the portal AfricanColours) to redefine myself and my message of Art.

(1950 Carl Jung)

"wOmb of time, we are here ... we cannot get away from our time, regardless of who we are, where we come from, wherever we might travel to, we are here
all together, right now, here in this womb of time, time is making me what i am, time is telling you where you come from, time is letting us go, bringing all, from one point to another, we are here, this is our time, this is our life."
"Art is dealing with all aspects of Life.
Art is mirroring Life,
but at the same moment Art is also a mirror to Time. When we look at Art, we can see Time."
